Hanneke Beaumont was born in Maastricht, The Netherlands. After studying in the United States, she moved to Brussels, Belgium. Her studio is in Pietrasanta, Italy, where she realises her sculpture in terracotta, bronze and cast iron.
Beaumont’s work can be viewed in many major institutional collections and she has won numerous commissions for public projects, including Le Depart in 1996—an installation of two life- size figures at Brussels Airport.

In 2006 Bowman Sculpture sold two life-size Figures #25 & #26 to The Frederik Meijer Museum, Grand Rapids, USA. In 2007 the European Union commissioned a monumental sculpture standing six meters tall entitled Stepping Forward and in 2009 The Vero Beach Museum of Art in Florida, USA, purchased life-size Figures #56 for their permanent collection.
In 2011 Hanneke won the Il Premio Pietrasanta, The la Versilia Nel Mondo, adding her name to the list of winners of this honour including Botero, Pomodoro and Marc Quinn.
In 2013 Bowman Sculpture were honoured to co-curate the Beaumont exhibition Connected and Disconnected with The Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park. This was Hanneke Beaumont’s first major museum exhibition in the United States. The Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park is ranked in the 100 most-visited art museums in the world. The exhibition then travelled to The Baker Museum, in Naples, Florida.
